What you’ll accomplish
You’ll connect an AI tool to Mem and see it answer using knowledge you saved earlier.
Watch how it’s done
The demo uses GitHub Copilot as an example. For how other tools connect, see the Nowledge Mem Docs: connectors.
Your turn
1
Open the AI tool you use most
Make sure Mem is running, then start a new session in Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or another supported tool.
2
Paste the connect prompt
Type this into the tool:The agent reads SKILL.md, detects which tool it’s running in, and uses the matching setup path.
3
Let it verify the connection
The agent installs the connector and checks that it works. It may tell you to restart the tool.
4
Restart if it says so
Follow the tool’s instruction to restart or reload before the connector takes effect.
5
Ask it something only your Mem knows
In the connected tool, ask about something you saved earlier:
What you should see
The AI answers using the memory you saved in earlier lessons — not from nothing.
No answer? Check that Mem is running and that the tool finished installing and restarting. If the tool skipped the setup, run the connect prompt again in a new session.
